Artist's Comments

This is the tricept tattoo on the anime character known as "The Scar" "Scar" "The Alchemist Killer" and others, from Fullmetal Alchemist.
The tattoo on Scar is centered on the tricept. The Top of the tattoo begins just under where the tricept and deltoid meet and the bands at the side wrap around the top of the bicept. The forks at the bottom cross the elbow and the point touches one of three forearm bands wich I may post later. SPIOLER WARNING.....For more info on Scar [link]

Anyone familiar with FMA is welcome to comment constructivly on the layout of this tattoo. I didn't trace this I looked at about 10 screenshots from 4 or 5 episodes. The array that Marco and "The Exile" use isn't the tattoo that Scar's brother made. I noticed they were different. I found Marco's 6 point array and Ed's 7 point array and the The Grand Arcanum of "The Exile" but no tattoo. So I decided to take a stab at scar's tat (pun not intended).

I Used Inkskape.org and The GIMP.

I'm not familiar with Fullmetal Alchemist but I surely do love this tattoo design. It has this tribal feeling but at the same time not. It almost looks like an animal at the same time, too.

i think you did pretty good on it. I've haven't seen s good enough picture in the anime or manga to really see what it looks like though.

Finally a picture of Scars REAL tattoo, ive seen soo many people who tattoo the wrong one. Very well done.

Just about dead on. The only thing that might be different would be that in most of the anime and manga pics, the middle spear extends in a solid line to
the dot near the bottom of the "snake" tails. One of the very few accurate representations of the tat I've seen, well done.
